What Is The Difference Between Diamond Pave Setting And Micro Pave Setting?

Image
The main difference between paving and micro pave is as it says…one is done by an expert jeweler using the naked eye with some tools only as versus the micro pave that is done by an expert jeweler that is trained to work with a microscope, the closest analogy is from the medical field where you have doctors that operate with the naked eye, and some doctors are trained to do microsurgery by working with a microscope. The pave setting has been used for hundreds of years. But, on the other hand, we have the micro pave that has been only in the last 30 years. The micro pave allows the jewelers to create unique jewelry pieces and give you the feeling that the whole piece is in one big diamond while some parts are made out of hundreds of diamonds .

How To Tell If Diamonds Are Real?

Image
An expert would tell if a diamond is real by looking at the diamond with a Loupe, a small magnifying glass used in the jewelry industry. However, don’t worry if you are not an expert or have one in your close circle. There are different ways you can verify the authenticity of a diamond by yourself. F irstly, you can give the diamond and certificate to a diamond’s appraiser, and this last one will provide you with the answer. You also can use an electronic device that can tell you if the diamond is real. If you don’t wish to spend money on this kind of equipment, you can take a piece of glass and scratch the diamond . If there is a scratch, the diamond is not real, as only a real diamond can leave marks on a diamond. Any other material cannot leave any marks if it is a real diamond.

Why Are Diamonds So Expensive?

Let's not forget that the bigger the stone, the more likely it is to contain visible flaws. The color factor One of...

Diamond prices can vary depending on the stones characteristics. Prices may vary between hundreds to thousands of dollars. Let's take a look at the monetary value of different diamonds and the reason behind these prices. Determining the price of a diamond First of all it is important to understand what determines the price of a diamond. The price depends on its carat weight and of course, quality, which is measured by the stones' clarity, color and cut.  Whiter diamonds in general are more expensive than those that have a yellow tint because it is rare to find a diamond that is completely or nearly colorless. Diamonds that are colorless are harder to find and that alone raises the price of the stone. How much can a good quality diamond cost? The most expensive diamonds tend to be those with a higher grading scale, such as those with high clarity, color and cut. Here are a few examples: A 1-carat stone that has the best color (grade D), top clarity (grade IF), and a cut graded...
