The Asscher Cut

The Asscher cut was developed in 1902 by Joseph Asscher and was inspired by the table cuts of the Renaissance. It is a step-like facet with trimmed corners, but square in shape.


The ideal length to width ratio is between 1.00 and 1.05:1.
